Chandeliers come in many different finishes or colors. One of the most popular looks is a black chandelier. They fit into many different decors while blending well with most colors and styles. Since it doesn’t have a polished finish,it has a more informal look while still representing quality and style.

Black chandeliers do not just come painted as some would expect. One very popular style of black chandeliers is the wrought iron chandelier. Wrought iron is more of a rustic look, or a romantic look, than regular metal and has a very distinct style and color. It goes with practically any décor and can give you a look of an expensive piece without spending a fortune.

Other black finishes include regular black, forged black, distressed black, olde black, matte black, federal black, vintage black, textured black, and the list goes on. It is amazing how many different “colors” black has, which includes many different shades as well as textures. Depending on the manufacturer, you might find one shade called by a different name which is used to describe the same color black you may find at another chandelier store.

Depending on your room décor you may need something a brushed in texture instead of a very striking black. A softer black may blend better, while giving more of a less dramatic effect. A very vivid black pulls your eye towards it immediately so you need it to be a very important focal point that goes with the rest of your home. Any color black is beautiful so you can afford to be bold when choosing this type of chandelier.
